Local requirements
Ready for Indonesia
Bahasa Indonesia and Rupiah
We prepare invoice templates, custom field labels and customer-facing wording in Bahasa Indonesia. Country and base currency are decided with you before the organisation is created, because Zoho states that neither can be changed on some country editions.
VAT (PPN) and withheld tax
We create the PPN rate and set up withheld income tax (PPh) recording together with your accountant. Zoho's documentation for the tax-deducted option on vendor bills applies only to certain editions (Global and one other country edition), so we confirm the fit with your account before configuring. Custom fields and export for tax reporting
Indonesia-specific data, such as tax invoice transaction codes or tax object codes, is held in custom fields. Export templates (CSV, XLS, XLSX) prepare the data for your accountant to report to the DJP. Read more
Roles and approvals that follow your policy
Zoho Books supports simple, multi-level and criteria-based approvals, and access limits by location or reporting tag. We model them on your internal policy.
Migration and bank statement import
Data from spreadsheets or legacy software is moved with a checked field mapping. Bank statements are imported from files Zoho supports, then matched to transactions.

Zia in Zoho Books
Ask Zia
Ask about revenue, overdue invoices or unpaid bills in plain language, without opening reports one by one.
Anomaly detection
Unusual financial patterns, such as expense spikes, are flagged as they appear.
Bank reconciliation suggestions
Zia suggests transaction categories from past bookkeeping patterns. The accountant still reviews every recommendation.
Document extraction
Data from invoices and receipts is pulled into accounting records for checking.

What Zoho Books does in your business
Zoho Books brings together day-to-day finance work that is usually spread across spreadsheets, email and several apps. The table summarises the areas covered according to Zoho’s documentation. Some features depend on the edition.
| Area | What Zoho Books handles |
|---|---|
| Sales | Quotes, sales orders, invoices, payment reminders and online payment links |
| Purchasing | Vendor bills, purchase orders, recurring expenses |
| Banking | Statement import, categorisation and reconciliation with transaction matching |
| Foreign currency | Automatic or manual exchange rates and exchange gain or loss reports |
| Stock and projects | Inventory tracking, time-based billing and project profitability (certain editions) |
| Reports | Profit and loss, cash flow, and custom reports that can be scheduled and shared |
Indonesian tax in Zoho Books
Zoho Books has no direct integration with the DJP system. The working method is to record every transaction in Zoho Books as the single source of data, then export what is needed for reporting. The technical steps are described in our article Fitur Perpajakan Indonesia di Zoho Books (in Indonesian).
- The PPN rate and withheld tax recording are set up with your accountant or tax adviser.
- Custom fields hold Indonesia-specific data that does not exist by default.
- Export templates prepare data to be processed and reported.
Since 1 January 2025, Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) No. 81 of 2024 has been the basis for the DJP core tax administration system (Coretax). Reporting formats and flows therefore need to be checked against current DJP rules at configuration time, not only older guides. We do not give tax advice. Tax treatment is decided with your accountant.
How Indokrisna implements Zoho Books
Discovery and design
We map billing, purchasing, cash and reporting processes, then design the chart of accounts, tax list, currencies, user roles and approval flows.
Configuration and migration
The organisation is configured to the design, then opening data is moved through data migration with test imports and balance checks alongside your finance team.
Training and support
Users are trained by role through training and support. The full scope is on the consulting and implementation page.

Read moreFrequently asked questions
What is Zoho Books and how is it different from Excel?
Zoho Books is cloud accounting software for invoices, bills, expenses, bank reconciliation and reports. Unlike a spreadsheet, its transactions are linked, it keeps an audit trail and per-user permissions, and its reports come from the same underlying data.
Does Zoho Books support Indonesian tax such as PPN and e-Faktur?
Zoho Books can be configured for PPN, withheld tax recording and custom fields for tax data, but it does not connect directly to the DJP system. Data is exported and reported through the DJP system in force. We design the flow with your accountant.
Is there an Indonesian edition of Zoho Books?
On the Zoho pages we checked, Indonesia is not listed as a separate country edition. We confirm the right edition and country setting before the organisation is created, because that setting affects tax handling and cannot always be changed later.
Can Zoho Books handle foreign currency transactions?
Yes. Zoho Books supports foreign currency transactions with automatic or manual exchange rates and exchange gain or loss reporting. Zoho notes that this is available only on certain editions, so we check it when recommending an edition.
Can data from my old accounting software be migrated to Zoho Books?
Yes. Opening balances, customers, vendors, items and transactions can be imported from spreadsheets or exports of legacy software after cleaning and mapping. We run test imports and check results with your finance team before go-live.
Which Zoho Books edition suits my business?
It depends on the number of users, approval needs, foreign currency, stock and reporting. Zoho lists Free, Standard, Professional, Premium, Elite and Ultimate. We recommend an edition once we understand your processes.
How much do Zoho Books and its implementation cost?
Cost depends on the edition, the number of users and the implementation scope. Contact us for a quote.
