Data migration to Zoho
Data migration to Zoho
Migration to Zoho means moving data and processes from spreadsheets, accounting software such as Tally or Accurate, another CRM or another helpdesk into Zoho applications. We inventory the data, map it, clean it, run a trial import, reconcile the result, and support you through cut-over to the new system.

Who it is for
Businesses in Indonesia moving from spreadsheets, accounting software such as Tally or Accurate, another CRM or another helpdesk to Zoho applications, and who want old data to stay traceable.
What you receive
- Data inventory: source, volume, owner and condition of each data set
- Field mapping document from the old system to Zoho
- Cleaned data imported as a trial
- Reconciliation notes comparing the import with the source
- Support during cut-over to the new system
How we work
-
Discovery
We inventory data sources, volumes, owners and condition, then decide which data needs to move.
-
Design
We map each source field to a Zoho field, set the clean-up rules and agree the data freeze point.
-
Configuration
We prepare modules, fields and settings in Zoho so the data can be accepted before import.
-
Migration
Data is cleaned, imported as a trial, reconciled with the source, corrected, then moved at cut-over.
-
Training
Users and administrators are shown the data now in Zoho and how to check it.
-
Handover and support
We hand over the mapping and reconciliation notes and support the team in the first period of use within the agreed scope.
Who needs data migration
Migration is needed when your important data lives elsewhere and must not be lost on the way to Zoho. Examples:
- Customer lists, quotations and sales history kept in spreadsheets.
- Chart of accounts, opening balances, customers, vendors and items from accounting software such as Tally or Accurate.
- Contacts, deals and activities in another CRM.
- Tickets and customer history in another helpdesk.
How it works
We follow the same method as every Indokrisna service, with a focus on data.
- Inventory. We record data sources, volumes, owners and condition: duplicates, empty fields, inconsistent formats.
- Mapping. Each source field is paired with a target field in Zoho. You approve this mapping document.
- Clean-up. Duplicates and inconsistent formats are tidied under agreed rules, not changed silently.
- Trial import. Some or all of the data is imported into a test environment so problems show up before final data is moved.
- Reconciliation. Record counts and key totals are compared with the source. Differences are logged and fixed.
- Cut-over support. At cut-over we move the latest changes and support the team until the data is in use in Zoho.
We do not promise a duration or outcome before seeing your data. The quality of the source data largely determines the work required.
What you receive
- A data inventory and mapping document you can archive.
- Data in Zoho that has been tested and reconciled with the source.
- Notes on differences and their fixes, so a later audit can still trace where data came from.
What we need from you
| Need | Purpose |
|---|---|
| An export or read access to the source system | Material for the inventory and import |
| Reference reports from the old system (for example a balance list or contact count) | A comparison point for reconciliation |
| A data owner on your side | Answers mapping questions and approves clean-up rules |
| Agreement on the data freeze point | Decides when the latest changes are moved |
We ask only for the access we need, and you can revoke it when the work is done.
How it connects to our other services
Migration usually sits inside consulting and implementation. Once the data is in Zoho, training and support helps the team use it. If you are already on Zoho and doubt the quality of its data, a Zoho health check reviews it.

What data can be migrated to Zoho?
Usually master data such as contacts, customers, vendors, products and accounts, plus transaction data or history where needed. We decide what is worth moving during the inventory, because not all old data needs to come into the new system.
Can we migrate from Tally or Accurate to Zoho Books?
Yes. We map the chart of accounts, customers, vendors, items and opening balances from your source into Zoho Books, then reconcile the result against source reports. For a product comparison, see the article Tally Prime vs Zoho Books.
Can data from another CRM or helpdesk be moved?
Yes. We map modules and fields in the old system to Zoho CRM, Bigin or Zoho Desk, including relevant statuses and history. Each source has different capabilities, so we check feasibility during discovery.
How much does data migration cost?
Cost depends on data volume, data quality, the number of sources and the implementation scope. Contact us for a quote. After the data inventory we write down the scope and the cost breakdown.
How long does data migration take?
Duration depends on scope, volume, data cleanliness and your team's availability to check test results. We agree a plan with you after discovery, not before.
How do we know data is not lost or wrong?
We run a trial import first, then compare record counts and key totals with the source. Differences are logged and fixed before final data is moved. You approve the reconciliation before cut-over.
Can we keep using the old system during migration?
Usually yes, until cut-over. We plan a data freeze point with you, then move the latest changes at cut-over. The details depend on the source system and how your team works.
